What is a human being? This question is very complex and can have numerous different answers. To me, there are couple concepts that have to be added into the statue somehow. It is obviously important to add everyone's views and compromise. However, I feel that emotions have to be shown in this project. Every human being has suffering and love in their lives. These are two extremes and can vary by person, but pain and love are important things to add. A human being has different pressures too and society changes everyone in some way. It will be hard to show the impact of society on a person, but I am positive my group can do it. This can mean anything from fast food media to the style of clothing. These are the main things I think would be effective to add to our statue.
In terms of realism, I think an abstract piece of art sometimes has more creativity and imagination. This is why I would choose an abstract statue. However, it can definately have some realistic qualities to it. I tend to enjoy abstract work with realistic qualities over a real statue.
